Today at the annual Global Services Conference 2012,
Alfredo Pacheco, CEO of MexicoIT, and  Mexico CityAlex Camino, Softtek’s VP of Marketing & Communications, will give a presentation on Leading the Latin American Services Market to a room full of outsourcing decision makers. The conference, held today in New York City, will focus on how to build and sustain excellence in services. Alex’s presentation, "Mexico, Perceptions and Reality" will contribute the Nearshore perspective to the ongoing debate, focusing on the myths, realities and advantages of outsourcing in Mexico.

For instance, did you know that even at current growth rates, it will take China three decades to overtake income levels in Mexico? It will take India even longer--not overtaking Mexico before the end of the 21st century. This, according to a recent Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars report. Says Alex, “The perceived wisdom on Mexico, even by us Mexicans, is often in opposition to our on-ground reality. I hope to shed some light on what constitutes media hype, those economic aspects that should cause concern, and which discrepancies never existed.”

And in case you missed it, President and CEO of Softtek Blanca Treviño recently wrote a blog post for The Huffington Post that highlights just some of Mexico's strengths, both in the business and social arenas.
